Michele Kellison, CPA, CFP ™
Michele has over 30 years experience helping individuals and businesses structure their tax situation to minimize the tax paid to both the Federal and State governments. Michele is known for her extensive knowledge of the tax law and her ability to merge the different elements of the law to reach the optimum result for her clients. Michele spent over 10 years teaching accounting and tax at Oregon State University and it is her ability to present complicated ideas in an understandable manner that made her both a sought out teacher at OSU and tax advisor for her clients. Michele enjoys working with her client’s other financial and legal advisors in a team approach so that together we reach the best result for your unique situation. In addition to working with individuals and businesses, Michele has extensive experience in working with Estate and Trust taxation.
After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Accounting (with Distinction) and graduating with a Master of Science in Taxation at Colorado State University, Michele began her career with the Denver tax office of Touche Ross (now Deloitte). She later moved to KPMG in Seattle and took a position as a tax manager in their tax department. In 1990, Michele made the decision to leave the world of “Big Four” accounting and moved to Corvallis Oregon to open her own firm, Michele Kellison, PC. In 2006 she and Richard Hendrick (retired) combined their practices and became Hendrick & Kellison, LLC. Today Michele enjoys working with clients with unique tax issues as well as those who appreciate top quality tax advice with a high level of customer service.
Michele serves as the Secretary of the Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis and is actively involved with the Rotary Club of Greater Corvallis and Rotary International District 5110. She is currently Membership Co-Chair for Rotary District 5110. Outside of work, Michele enjoys reading, gardening, cycling, hiking, travel and spending time with her daughter, Hailey.
